Where Heritage Meets Modern Luxury

The Englemere Framed kitchen embodies sophistication, blending classic craftsmanship with modern precision. Framed cabinetry in a soft painted finish brings depth and structure, complemented by delicate moulding details and sleek hardware. Every element, from the solid oak interiors to the seamless stone surfaces, reflects meticulous attention to detail, materiality, and form - creating a space that feels refined and enduring.

The Heart of Modern Luxury Living

There’s a quiet confidence to a Charles Yorke kitchen – an effortless blend of craftsmanship, proportion and understated luxury and this space captures it perfectly.

Soft, hand-painted cabinetry in warm neutral tones creates a sense of calm from the moment you step inside. Every detail is considered: from the perfectly framed mantle that draws the eye to the Lacanche range cooker, to the seamless integration of storage that keeps the space feeling refined and uncluttered. The symmetry of the design gives a timeless architectural presence, while the natural materials add warmth and authenticity.

At the heart of the room, a generous island invites both preparation and conversation, its polished surface reflecting light that pours in through large windows. The classic Belfast sink with Quooker boiling water tap, paired with elegant fittings from Armac Martin, speaks to both practicality and enduring style – designed for real living, not just admiration.

This is a kitchen that doesn’t shout for attention; it earns it. A space where morning routines feel calmer, entertaining feels effortless, and every element has been crafted to stand the test of time. For those seeking more than just a kitchen – something truly bespoke, beautifully built, and deeply personal – this is what defines our bespoke kitchen designs across Nottinghamshire.

Craftsmanship You Can See and Feel

True quality reveals itself in the finer details. Reeded glass cabinetry introduces subtle texture and depth, softly diffusing light while offering a refined glimpse of what lies within. Crafted from a considered combination of European oak timber and fine veneers, and finished in our signature Dutch Oak stain, the cabinetry brings warmth, depth, and a tactile richness to the space. Every material, every junction, and every finish is carefully considered – resulting in a kitchen that not only looks exceptional, but feels it every time you use it.

Seamlessly integrated Fisher & Paykel Dish Drawers are thoughtfully concealed within the cabinetry, maintaining the purity of the design without compromising on performance.

Location and Heritage

Nestled in the heart of Newstead Abbey, Nottinghamshire, the legendary home of Lord Byron this kitchen was designed to do more than simply function. It carries a quiet nod to its historic surroundings, blending timeless craftsmanship with subtle heritage influences to create a space that feels both grounded in the past and perfectly suited to modern living.

Bespoke Dining, Thoughtfully Designed

The dining area is a true reflection of the client’s vision where craftsmanship meets individuality. The solid timber table, with its sculptural base and beautifully grained surface, anchors the space with a sense of permanence and quiet strength. Paired with it, the bespoke bench seating has been meticulously designed to balance comfort with detail. The upholstery, specified with precision, features a tailored, quilted finish that adds both texture and refinement, elevating what could be a simple seating solution into a statement piece. Every stitch and contour has been carefully considered, resulting in a space that feels inviting, distinctive, and entirely personal.

A View Rooted in Heritage

From the comfort of the bespoke bench seating, the kitchen opens effortlessly into the landscape beyond. This seamless relationship between interior and exterior was carefully considered, allowing the kitchen to feel both grounded and open. Whether enjoying a quiet morning coffee or gathering with family, the outlook creates a moment of pause linking the home to its surroundings and reinforcing the timeless character of the setting within the walled garden.

Whether it’s a walk-in pantry that transforms the way you cook, a boot room that brings order to busy mornings, or a calm bedroom scheme with tailored storage, the aim is the same: furniture that fits your home beautifully and supports how you live.

Project Details

The Englemere range embodies a refined balance of classic craftsmanship. Defined by its framed construction, elegant proportions and subtle detailing, it draws on traditional cabinetry principles. From delicate mouldings to precisely aligned panels creating a sense of structure, rhythm and enduring quality. Designed for those who appreciate timeless design with a tailored, architectural presence, Englemere offers a kitchen that feels both grounded in heritage and effortlessly suited to modern living.

The materials throughout the project have been carefully selected to balance beauty and performance. Cabinetry is crafted from a combination of European oak, both solid and veneered, finished in our signature Dutch Oak stain. Painted elements are produced using premium-grade hardwood and specialist stable substrates, ensuring a flawless painted finish and long-term durability.

A warm, balanced palette pairs Farrow & Ball Skimming Stone on the outer cabinetry with a Farrow & Ball Mouse’s Back on the island, complemented by a Dutch Oak accent for added depth and cohesion.

The final details bring a refined layer of craftsmanship and cohesion. Armac Martin Double Diamond interwoven grilles introduce texture and subtle intricacy, their reeded open mesh adding depth and visual interest. This is paired with Armac Martin Queslett cabinet knobs with square backplates and Gaumont cabinet handles, all in polished nickel, providing a crisp, tailored finish. The stone worktop in Silestone Snowy Ibiza completes the scheme with a clean, elegant surface.
