Charles Yorke designs and manufactures exceptional bespoke kitchens, furniture and living spaces for homes throughout Lincoln and the wider Lincolnshire area. From elegant period properties in historic Lincoln to country houses, barn conversions and contemporary homes across the county, every Charles Yorke interior is designed around its architecture and the people who live within it.

Each collection is made to order, with the freedom to tailor cabinetry, colours, proportions, internal storage and finishing details so your kitchen fits your home, not the other way around.
Bespoke design doesn’t have to stop at the kitchen. If you’re creating a home that feels joined-up and complete, we can help you extend the look and atmosphere of your home.
Each project is individually conceived by our designer, Jamie Ellis, before being handcrafted at our Nottinghamshire workshops, where traditional cabinetmaking skills are complemented by modern manufacturing precision.
Lincolnshire offers a rich and varied architectural landscape. Georgian townhouses, Victorian villas, converted farm buildings, rural estates and contemporary homes each demand an individual design response.
Our approach begins with an understanding of the property: its proportions, architectural character, natural light and relationship with the surrounding landscape. Jamie then considers how the client wishes to live within the space, balancing aesthetics with storage, movement and the practical requirements of everyday life.
Rather than applying a predetermined style, every project develops its own considered design language - one that feels naturally connected to the home and quietly reflective of those who live there.

Charles Yorke works with private clients, architects, interior designers and developers throughout Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas. Our Lincolnshire catchment includes Lincoln, Stamford, Grantham, Sleaford, Newark-on-Trent, Gainsborough, Market Rasen, Louth, Horncastle and Woodhall Spa, together with the county’s many villages and rural communities. Whether the project involves a city residence, an expansive country property or the sensitive restoration of a period home, our team provides the same measured and highly personal service, from the first conversation through to installation and completion.
The kitchen is often the architectural and social centre of the home, but its success depends upon how naturally it connects with the spaces around it.
Our designs can extend beyond the kitchen to include boot rooms, utility rooms, pantries, dining areas, home bars, media cabinetry, studies, dressing rooms and individually commissioned furniture.
Consistent materials, complementary finishes and carefully repeated details create continuity throughout the interior. Each room retains its own purpose and identity while becoming part of a cohesive and beautifully considered home.
Every Charles Yorke project begins with conversation. Jamie takes time to understand how the room will be used, the atmosphere it should create and the practical requirements that must be resolved within the design.
Architecture, natural light, movement and proportion are considered alongside storage, appliances and the everyday rituals of the household. Early ideas are developed through detailed drawings and carefully rendered visuals, allowing the design to be explored and refined before manufacture begins.
This thoughtful process ensures that the finished interior is not only beautiful, but intuitive, functional and deeply personal.
Every Charles Yorke kitchen is made to order at our workshops in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, within easy reach of Lincoln and the surrounding county. Our furniture is created by skilled cabinetmakers using solid and veneered timbers, carefully selected furniture-grade substrates and specialist finishes. Traditional construction techniques are combined with advanced manufacturing technology, allowing us to achieve exceptional precision while retaining the individuality and character of genuinely bespoke furniture. From the selection of timber and preparation of the cabinetry to hand-finishing, assembly and inspection, every stage is carefully controlled by our own team.
At the centre of our work throughout Lincoln and Lincolnshire is Jamie Ellis, whose thoughtful approach is grounded in a clear understanding of proportion, materials and architectural detail. Through measured conversation and a careful reading of the property, Jamie translates each client’s ideas into a cohesive interior - balancing visual elegance with the practical demands of everyday living.
Working closely with the client from the earliest concepts through to manufacture and installation, he ensures that every element is resolved with purpose. The result is an interior that feels instinctive to the home, personal to its owners and designed to endure.

Our team manages the journey from initial concept through to manufacture and installation. We work directly with homeowners and collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, builders and other project professionals.
Detailed planning and clear communication allow cabinetry, services, appliances and surrounding building works to be coordinated at the appropriate stages. Once manufacture is complete, our experienced installation team brings the design together within the home, with the same attention to detail that defines the furniture itself.
