Classic and elegant architectural detail

The Florentine collection by Charles Yorke is a refined expression of classic English cabinetry, combining traditional craftsmanship with elegant architectural detailing. Defined by its framed construction, generous cornicing and balanced proportions, the design creates a sense of timeless sophistication.

In this project, a soft neutral palette enhances the furniture’s understated elegance, while natural oak display shelving introduces warmth and texture. A substantial central island anchors the room, topped with pale stone surfaces that reflect light throughout the space and provide a relaxed gathering point for family and guests.

Crafted Details, Thoughtfully Considered

The beauty of this Florentine kitchen lies not only in its overall composition, but in the carefully considered details that reveal the depth of craftsmanship throughout. The substantial mantel above the range cooker is supported by elegantly shaped curved mantle legs, introducing a softer, furniture-inspired character that enhances the architectural presence of the cooking area.

Beneath the worktops, bespoke pull-out chopping blocks are seamlessly integrated into the cabinetry, providing practical preparation space while preserving the clean lines of the furniture. These handcrafted details reflect the collection’s balance of traditional craftsmanship and everyday functionality.

The central island features a classic Belfast sink, bringing a timeless handcrafted quality to the room and reinforcing the kitchen’s enduring English character. Positioned within the generous island, it creates a natural focal point while supporting the practical demands of modern family living.

Completing the scheme, a bespoke Saltire wine rack introduces warmth and visual interest through its natural oak interior. Framing the integrated wine refrigeration, the geometric lattice detailing provides a subtle decorative element that celebrates the joinery craftsmanship at the heart of the Florentine collection.

The Family Games Room

Designed as a relaxed extension of the main living spaces, the Family Games Room provides a welcoming environment for entertaining, unwinding and spending time together. At its centre, a bespoke media wall combines painted cabinetry with warm oak interiors and illuminated display shelving, creating an elegant focal point for both technology and treasured collections.

A snooker table introduces a playful element to the room, while comfortable seating areas encourage conversation and relaxation. Thoughtfully integrated storage ensures the space remains organised and uncluttered, allowing the craftsmanship and carefully selected materials to take centre stage.

Balancing practicality with understated luxury, the room offers a refined yet informal setting where family and friends can gather, relax and enjoy time together.

The Utility & Boot Room

Designed as a natural extension of the Florentine kitchen, this bespoke utility and boot room combines elegant craftsmanship with everyday practicality. Tall framed cabinetry, generous work surfaces and integrated laundry facilities provide ample storage while maintaining a calm, uncluttered appearance.

A built-in bench with coat hooks creates a practical space for coats, bags and outdoor footwear, while the soft painted finish ensures the room feels every bit as refined as the main living areas. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully detailed, it is a hardworking space tailored to modern family life.

The Family Lounge

Designed as a calm and inviting retreat, the family lounge centres around a bespoke media wall that combines integrated storage with illuminated display niches for artwork and treasured objects.

Finished in a soft painted palette, the cabinetry introduces architectural balance while discreetly incorporating modern technology. Elegant and understated, the space provides a comfortable setting for relaxation and everyday family living.

Moments of Escape

Thoughtfully integrated into the cabinetry, a hidden drinks cabinet and bespoke window seat create two distinct spaces designed for relaxation and enjoyment. Concealed behind elegant framed doors, the drinks cabinet reveals warm oak interiors, mirrored back panels and integrated lighting, providing a sophisticated setting for displaying favourite spirits and glassware.

Nearby, a beautifully crafted window seat is nestled between open bookcases, creating a quiet retreat for reading and reflection. Deep upholstered cushions, natural light and views beyond the window combine to create an inviting space to pause and unwind. Together, these bespoke features demonstrate how thoughtful design can transform everyday moments into something truly special.

The Master Dressing Room

Designed as a luxurious extension of the principal suite, the master dressing room combines elegant storage with refined architectural detailing. Full-height mirrored wardrobes are framed by bespoke geometric glazing bars, creating a striking furniture piece that enhances both light and space within the room.

The mirrored surfaces reflect natural light throughout the interior, while concealing generous hanging and storage space behind. Carefully proportioned cornicing and framed detailing ensure the cabinetry sits seamlessly within the architecture of the home, maintaining the timeless character established throughout the wider scheme.

Beautifully crafted and thoughtfully designed, the dressing room transforms everyday routines into a more considered experience, balancing practicality with understated luxury.

His & Hers En-Suites

Designed as private sanctuaries within the principal suite, the his and hers en-suites combine elegant materials, bespoke cabinetry and carefully considered detailing to create spaces that feel both luxurious and effortlessly functional.

Tailored to the individual needs of each user, the rooms balance practical storage with refined architectural features, while soft finishes and generous natural light create a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Every element has been thoughtfully considered, resulting in a pair of beautifully crafted spaces that bring a sense of comfort, privacy and understated luxury to everyday routines.

Inspired by traditional craftsmanship yet designed for modern living, the collection is defined by its balanced proportions, decorative mouldings and furniture-like character, creating interiors that feel both sophisticated and enduring.

Cabinetry is handcrafted from premium European oak and veneered oak furniture-grade substrates, combining painted finishes with natural oak interiors and feature shelving. The result is a refined material palette that balances warmth, texture and timeless elegance throughout the home.

The kitchen, utility room and family lounge are hand-painted in Farrow & Ball Worsted No. 284, creating a calm and sophisticated backdrop throughout the home.
