General Care & Maintenance of our Furniture
Painted panels should only be cleaned using mild detergent cleansers, with a well rung cloth. Solvents or abrasives must be avoided as these will damage the surface of the panel. Handles must also be cleaned in the same way using only a damp cloth.
The surface sheen of timber doors can be maintained with applications of household polish ensuring it is dried thoroughly afterward.
Looking after your furniture is as important to us as it is you. That is why to supplement your own care we offer an additional commissioning service available at any time after the installation of your furniture.
The service includes for our commissioner to come and visit your home for a day, during which he will perform a general commission; adjusting doors and drawers for alignment, attending to any minor scratches and marks, carrying out as much work as possible during his stay. If for any reason there is any damage to furniture that would require further attention than that achievable on his visit, he will be able to advise you of this and then organise for an estimate to be drawn up for you.
For a small cost the commissions will help to ensure that your furniture remains at its best and is enjoyed for many more years to come. They will take your details, arrange payment and organise a suitable commission date for you.
Two Year Guarantee
We manufacture our furniture to a high standard with care and attention to detail: as such, we are confident that with good maintenance, the look and use of our furniture will continue for many years. However, should you discover a material or manufacturing defect in any of our furniure within five years of the product being delivered to you we will carry out an investigation and repair or replace any defective components free of charge, subject to terms and conditions.
All gas or electric goods, luxury worktops, sink and taps (plus, in addition, any other product for which a third party guarantee is provided) are covered by a separate product guarantee which is provided by the manufacturer of these products.

After the installation of our furniture, all our clients are given a certificate of authenticity and an individual Charles Yorke identification plaque. Each plaque holds a unique number relating to that particular style and finish of furniture, ensuring any additions or alterations in the future are easy to make.
