DESIGN

Working alongside our in house design team is a select group of design partners worldwide. We pride ourselves in listening to the needs of our clients and relish any challenges they may bring our way. Our specialist knowledge and experience of designing furniture ensures we can produce innovative and practical furniture solutions that are unique to every client. Attention to detail is important to Charles Yorke, as it is one of the elements that give our highly engineered furniture extra luxury and individuality. We draw inspiration not only from periods in time and unusual materials but from the clients themselves.

MANUFACTURE

We combines traditional cabinet making techniques with state of the art technology to create inspiring furniture. The cabinet makers use the finest materials selecting each piece of timber and veneer individually, ensuring the naturally occurring patterns and colours work to enhance the furniture design. We take pride in the pieces we make and actively encourage clients to visit the factory to see their furniture being made first hand.

MATERIALS

A Wide variety of materials and finishes are used on Charles Yorke furniture. Paint finishes from the contemporary high gloss to the traditional hand painted can be used or combined with leather, glass or wood. Customers can choose from a fascinating range of timbers from silvery pale tones like maple through to the rich chocolate of walnut and the warm honeyed shades of oak and elm, as well as unusual veneers such as Ebony Macassor and Tamo Ash to name a few. Our materials are sustainably sourced to create as little impact on the environment as possible.

HAND PAINTING

As well as offering a number of factory painted colours and finishes for our furniture, we also provide the option of having our furniture hand painted. Our highly skilled and experienced hand painters work closely with our clients in choosing a colour and finish for their furniture that suits their own style and compliments their home. From the very simple brush techniques through to the very traditional paint effects such as patina and aging, this personalised service creates furniture which is even more individual to you.

AFTER SALES

After the installation of our furniture all our clients are given a certificate of authenticity and an individual Charles Yorke identification plaque indicating that genuine Charles Yorke furniture has been purchased. Each plaque holds a unique number which relates to that particular style and finish of furniture making any additions in the future easy to make. For us, looking after our clients and their furniture is vitally important. That’s why after the installation of our furniture and every year thereafter that we offer an additional commissioning service; helping to ensure it is enjoyed for years to come.
